Our company has signed new Contract for Design of Self-Propelled Floating Grab Crane with our old Ukrainian Customer, NIBULON Ltd., on 8 August. 

The floating crane is intended for cargo-handling operations in grab load/discharge mode with crane capacity up to 45t, and in hook mode – up to 60t.

Technical characteristics of the crane shall provide cargo-handling operations at sea disturbances with the wave height of 3%-occurrence up to 1.5m and wind velocity of up to 20m/s.

February 2012:
Today, 2 February, 2012, the RMRS (Russian Maritime Register of Shipping) has approved in full scope the Class Project documentation for building the Dry Floating Dock of POSS-101 Project for Baku Shipyard LLC.

Baku Shipyard LLC in Baku is a company owned by Keppel Offshore and Marine, Socar and AIC. The construction of the shipyard is done under management of Keppel who also will operate the shipyard when completed.

Our company has been involved in the planning of facilities of the shipyard as Main Architect – Shipyard Layout.

signed new Contract for License, Design and Delivery of Design Documentation and Drawings for Floating Dry Dock building on June, 22, 2011. 

The Floating Dock is designed for operation at the new shipyard in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The Dock will fulfill three main functions: transfer of ships from transfer area onto the Dock for submerging, float up of ships and transfer to the transfer area, and ships repair in the Dock.

Sophisticated connection of the Dock and the quay side was designed to efficiently operate during the transfer operations.

This also includes computer-based system that coordinates the ballasting and the speed of transfer system.

The Dock will be of traditional U-shaped form; will have 2 side Wing Walls containing ballast tanks up to Safety Deck, and with additional height up to upper deck. Holds between Safety Deck and Upper Deck will contain emergency generator, safety equipment, storage etc.

December 2011:
On the 5th of December NIBULON Ltd., our constant Ukrainian Client, and POSS Torola Ltd and POSS Ltd. companies have signed a new contract on designing of another self-propelled technologically complex vessel. This project is the part of the large NIBULON Ltd. program on revival of the Dnipro River as the transport waterway.    

Our companies have become lately good partners, and we hope new contracts will be signed between POSS Torola Ltd. and NIBULON Ltd. in the nearest future!

November 2011:
Although SE “Sea Commercial Port of Illichivsk” canceled its contract with Port Service Ltd. for building the Tug Boat of 5000 h.p., We would like to inform that We have successfully completed the design of this Tug Boat.
POSS Ltd. are now awaiting new owners that hopefully will be ready to complete the Tug.

April 2011:
POSS Torola Ltd and POSS Ltd. have engaged new Contract for Design Documentation Development for Non-propelled Dry Cargo Barge for woodchips transportation with Ship Owner, Serge Kozak Latvia, SIA, on April, 27.

The vessel designed is a non-propelled barge of mixed (river-sea) navigation with three cargo holds, watertight hatches, without superstructure and steering gear. The Barge is designed to transport bulk cargoes, such as woodchips, sand, ore, and gravel, packaged and oversized cargoes.

POSS Torola Ltd and POSS Ltd.  are happy to announce about new contracts signed with our old Ukrainian Customer, NIBULON Ltd., in August, 2010.  

In March, 2011 POSS Torola Ltd. delivered detailed design documentation of POSS-120 and NBL-91 Projects to Ukraine’s Shipping Register.

Pushtug of POSS-120 Project is a single deck two-shaft vessel of internal navigation area.  

As main engines, on board of pushtug of POSS-120 Project two high-speed non-reversible four-stroke diesel engines with electro start and 438 kW MCR to be installed.

Pushtug is designed to pass through locks, to support at mooring operations, to push or tow non-propelled barges or group of barges or floating structures, to service barges in ports, to break ice in winter and to operate in ports and water basins. Pushtug can operate as harbor tug as well.

POSS Torola Ltd. fulfilled all obligations on the contract signed with SE “Mariupol Sea Commercial Port” (Ukraine) earlier this year on Technical Condition assessment of hull for “Captain Belousov” diesel electric ship, the one and only icebreaker in Ukraine. POSS Torola Ltd and POSS Ltd.  are happy to announce that June 30, 2010 the first block of the first pushtug for our Ukrainian client, NIBULON Ltd., was laid in berthplace at WADAN YARDS OKEAN OJSC. 

In September, 2009  POSS Torola Ltd. was contracted to build 12 pushtugs of POSS-115 Project for NIBULON Ltd.

POSS Torola Ltd has done all phases of engineering of this pushtug: Concept Design, Class Design, Technical Project, and now is engaged in full Workshop Documentation development and Technical Support.

All drawings for the series of pushtugs are approved by Ukraine's Shipping Register.

TTS Handling Systems is incorporated into TTS Group, Bergen, Norway. TTS is a world known company engaged in designing, developing and supplying equipment for the marine and oil and gas industries.

POSS Ltd. got a new contract with our old partner, Port-Service Ltd. (Nikolaev, Ukraine), on completion of Design Documentation and Technical Support of Project 1510 (tugboat building) for SE “Sea Commercial Port of Illichivsk” (Ukraine).   

 

Tugboat overall length is 37,10 m, breadth is 12,10 m, draught is 3,60 m and bollard pull is 60 t.  Tugboat power is 5000 HP.

POSS Torola Ltd. and POSS Ltd. are happy to announce the successful launching of Barges NBL-009, NBL-010, NBL-011 and NBL-012 for our Ukrainian Client, NIBULON Ltd., at WADAN YARDS OKEAN OJSC on December, 03. 

 

Since POSS Torola Ltd. had been contracted to develop Class Project on building Barges for NIBULON Ltd. in March current year, already 12 Barges with total cargo capacity 50 000 tons were launched at WADAN YARDS OKEAN OJSC.

POSS Torola Ltd. and POSS Ltd. are happy to announce the successful launching of the first NBL-001 Barge for our Ukrainian Client, NIBULON Ltd., at WADAN YARDS OKEAN OJSC on August, 11. The city authorities, namely the mayor of Nikolaev, Vladimir Chajka, and the governor of the Nikolaev region, Alexey Garkusha, NIBULON Ltd. General Director, Alexey Vadaturskiy, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, Victor Boiko, and WADAN YARDS OKEAN OJSC General Director, Nickolay Romanchuk, were present at the launching.

Nickolay Romanchuk said he was proud his shipbuilding plant was engaged in the construction of the Barges for NIBULON Ltd., and hoped their cooperation would continue. Alexey Vadaturskiy said he was happy and proud Ukraine-produced Barges would sale Ukrainian rivers despite the crisis, and hoped the next Barges would be launched within short.

POSS Torola Ltd. and POSS Ltd. expect the launching of the forthcoming three Barges, NBL-002, NBL-003 and NBL-004, that takes place at the end of the current month.

The Barge’s length is 90 m, its breadth – 16m, draft – 3,7 m and cargo capacity is 4500 tons.

POSS Torola Ltd. was contracted to build a series of these Barges for NIBULON Ltd. in May, 2009, and already in June WADAN YARDS OKEAN OJSC laid keel of NBL-001 Barge’s first section. We hope that by the end of this year all 16 Barges will be launched.

August 2009:
POSS Ltd. and Ukrainian building company Kontakt-1 Ltd have signed a corporate agreement for cooperation in construction of composite and concrete floating docks. POSS Ltd. will pursue this market and do all engineering, contract and logistic work. Kontakt-1 Ltd will be a Contractor and do the conversion/new building of the docks.

June 2009:
We are happy and proud to announce that June, 3, 2009 the first block of the first barge for NIBULON Ltd. was laid keel in berthplace at WADAN YARDS OKEAN OJSC.

POSS Torola Ltd. is engaged in full Workshop Engineering and Technical Support. All drawings for the first barge and for the series of barges were approved by Ukraine’s Shipping Register.

POSS Torola Ltd. has been contracted to make the Class Project for a series of Barges for a Ukrainian Company NIBULON Ltd, Nikolaev

Our Client will build a series of 16 of these barges the coming years. The contract also includes full Work Shop Engineering and Technical Support for all Barges the series.

January 2009:
In connection with incorporation of Torola in our organisation, and to make POSS Group more efficient, a reorganisation of management has been done. As part of this process, our cooperation with Sergey Grigorov and Viktoriya Buznik has been terminated. The successful cooperation between Port-Service Ltd (Nikolaev) and POSS Ltd. has been ranked the third biggest shipbuilder in Ukraine in 2007. Same statistics 2008 will show similar position. Through this cooperation, we have produced close to 50.000 tons of sections and hulls the last years.

August 2008:
Project of Two aluminium Stair Towers with number of platforms has completed for Aluship Technology, Poland (FPSO conversion project). All calculations and work shop documentations made by POSS Torola Ltd.

                                                                               September 2008:
altPOSS Ltd. has been brokers for Hull Contract Nos. 105 and 107 whereas Port Service Ltd, Nikolaev, Ukraine has built a 3.500 dwt tanker hull for Aker Braila SA in Romania. The Hull was built on the premises of Chernamorskij Shipyard in Nikolaev.

POSS Ltd. are doing Contract Work and Technical Support for these two contracts. The projects are a new milestone in the close corporation between Port Service, Aker Yards and POSS over the last 4 years.

The picture shows the successful launching of Hull No 105 on August 14th 2008. The Hull was lifted by the two heavy gantry cranes at Chernamorskij Shipyard each having a capacity of 900 ton.

The Hull was thereafter towed to Romania for final outfitting in Braila.

Vessel No 275 at RIGA Kugu Buvetava (RIGA Shipyard) was launched in week 37/2008.

Several aircraft fire simulators are being built in Nikolaev, Ukraine and our company renders inspection services for the Client - Vestnorsk Engineering AS. We perform usual scope of work as owner's representatives.
We check assembly according to technical drawings, current assembly and welding quality, surface preparation for paint application, paint application quality, etc.

March 2005:
POSS Ltd. arranged long term section building contracts between Port-Service Ltd. and Aker Yards shipyards in Romania. More than 10.000 tons of sections has been produced successfully each year since.
